Oilers Force Game 7 with Convincing Win

Edmonton Oilers Goalie Stuart Skinner Shines in Return

Oilers Force Game 7 with 5-1 Victory

The Edmonton Oilers have forced a Game 7 in their second-round series against the Vancouver Canucks with a convincing 5-1 victory on home ice. Goaltender Stuart Skinner, making his return to the net after an injury, allowed just one goal on 25 shots faced, while the Oilers' offense erupted for five goals in front of a raucous crowd.

The Oilers opened the scoring just over five minutes into the game when Zach Hyman deflected a shot past Canucks goalie Arturs Silovs. Edmonton extended their lead in the second period with goals from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The Canucks managed to get on the board late in the period with a goal from Elias Pettersson, but the Oilers responded quickly with another goal from Hyman. Draisaitl added an empty-net goal in the final minute to seal the victory.

The Oilers will now head to Vancouver for Game 7 on Saturday night. The winner of that game will advance to the Western Conference Final, where they will face either the Colorado Avalanche or the St. Louis Blues.
